ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Minnesota has a new advancement director to lead the agency’s fundraising, donor stewardship, and future planning.
Executive Director Jackie Johnson announced that Kristin Hannon has been hired as the next advancement director. She officially started her duties with the agency on Sept. 23. Hannon will oversee all of the agency’s fundraising campaigns and events, work closely with donors, and work with agency leadership and board of directors to develop future budgets as the agency and its needs continue to grow and change.
Hannon comes to BBBS with more than 20 years of banking and sales experience in Central Minnesota. Most recently, she was a Retail Banking Officer at Sherburne State Bank. She also has nonprofit experience as a volunteer and board member around the St. Cloud area, including five years on the events committee with the INDY Foundation where she helped fundraiser and plan for their annual gala each year.
She is also the current president of the St. Cloud chapter of the Forum of Executive Women, and has served on various committees with the St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce.
“I am very excited to welcome Kristin to the team at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Minnesota,” Johnson said. “Her sales experience, as well her connections within the community and among other local nonprofits will be invaluable for her and the agency as she starts in her new role.”
