Nominate a LIttle of the Year

We have so many amazing Littles and would love your assistance in nominating those that you feel are deserving. Each year we have the opportunity to select a Little Brother and Little Sister of the Year and nominate them for the state award.

We accept nominations year-round. Winners receive their awards at our Big Celebration in April.

Nominate a Little of the Year!

To nominate an Adult Big Brother, Big Sister, Big Duo or Big Family:

Nominate an Adult Big of the Year Criteria to Nominate an Adult Big Brother, Big Sister, Big Duo or Big Family: The Big must be in a current, active match thru the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Minnesota.
  1. The Big must have been matched with the same Little for at least two years.
  2. The match has demonstrated significant impact for the Little.
  3. The match has demonstrated improvements in the Little’s social/emotional state.
We accept nominations year-round. Winners receive their awards at our Big Celebration in April. Nominate a Big!

Nominate a High School Big Brother or Big Sister:

Criteria to Nominate a High School Big Brother or Big Sister.

  1. The High School Big must be in a current, active match
  2. The High School Big must have been matched with the same Little for at least a year through the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Minnesota agency.
  3. The match has demonstrated significant impact for the Little.
  4. The match has demonstrated an impact in the Little’s social/emotional improvements.
  5. The High School Big has shown excellence as an advocate for Big Brothers Big Sisters

We accept nominations year round. Winners receive their awards at our Big Celebration in April.

BriAnna Kruzel Growing Up Big Award

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Minnesota is accepting nominations for a deserving participant, either a former Little or former High School Big, who demonstrates service to the community, character and integrity. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Minnesota established the BriAnna Kruzel Growing Up Big Award to honor BriAnna Kruzel, a former Little Sister and High School Big Sister, who passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in September 2013.  The award highlights our former Littles and High School Bigs who are now adults and doing great things in their communities. Nominations are due in February. The winner is notified by March 28 and will receive the award at The Big Celebration in April. Thank you to Vince and Lori Mohs for sponsoring this award.
