Optimist Oratorical Contest

The 4-5 minute speech topic is: “Is there a fine line between optimism and reality?”

Contestants must still be 19 years old as of October 1st, 2019. Contestants need to pre-register by March 18th.

Winners of the local contest will move on to the Optimist Zone 9 contest on Saturday, April 13th.

Students have an opportunity to win cash prizes on a local level of $200, $100, and $50. On the district level there are 2 – $2500 Scholarships. First place district winner goes onto a regional and possible world contest to win additional scholarships. Regional is $5000, world is $15,000, $10,000, and $5000.
